This has led to a controversial idea to develop, one that the Pugnator are not fond of, this idea is that the universe connected to the Timors are parasites, for it takes the energy from these already big energy filled universes to grow fat and healthy. You may respond with the fact that when the universe or we are exposed to this radiation nature corrupts and our bodies are negatively affected. To that all I have to say is yes, this is also true with water, a beneficial and important part of biological processes and life, like oxygen but if they are present in too great a quantity then humans are negatively affected as well as the world. Therefore the acts of the Timors are those of self defence, not aggression, batting at flies, so therefore they can't get all of us, have you ever been in a swarm of midges you swat but you only get a small number.
It has also been considered as parasites are usually smaller and more numerous than the thing they feed on, you may have many mosquitoes or leeches draining blood from you but you are only one bag of blood feeding these large numbers. And we know the universes that aren't the 'homes' of the Timors, outnumber those that are, so it was reasoned that maybe we draw energy from their universe to help sustain the growth of our own, though it might not affect the Timors excessively it annoys them so they swat.

ReplyDeleteOf course, a predator is often outnumbered by it's prey. It would be strange if it wasn't.
Though the prey doesn't generally absorb or take in the energy or nutrients from it's predator, and we have seen cases that the worlds of the Timors sometimes.... leak through, causing corruption of the land. If they were mere predators their worlds would not creep into ours, they would also kill as many as they need if they needed to kill us to sustain them selves and grow more powerful. Though seeing how the Timors generally treat humans with not much interest I think this is highly probable.

Your theory is interesting but it also exists alongside a whole host of others that also seek to explain the given behaviour. Do you have any evidence which solidifies yours alone?
Ohhh, I like you, as you know due to the unpredictable nature of the Tiumors, all of our theories fall down somewhere or other. Though just think, the Timors are themselves larger than our universe and it's four perceived dimensions, there are very few animals which hunt prey so much smaller than itself, and if they do they ingest them in great quantity, our universes however do not cease to be, agin metaphors but that's we have guess work and theories.

Then maybe the relationship is neither parasitical nor predatory. I tend to ascribe to the Great Game theory myself, though I admit that *why* such things would play this game is difficult to discern. It seems to be a way of circumventing war, and that's it.

True, it might be neither predatory or parasitical, though as we have said we don't know. Concerning the great game, not all of the Timors aprticipate in it , Angelus seems to like causing mayhem within it for hte most part and the don't seem to rely too heavily on any set of rules qany game might have.
